Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a production team during night shift hours (21:00–04:00), providing direct supervision and hierarchical responsibility
• Develop and communicate daily production schedules in coordination with site scheduling, accounting for labour, machinery, and batch sequencing constraints
• Monitor production progress across all workshop sectors (wetting, unwinding, assembly, mills/DT, winding, folding) with precision and attention to detail
• Ensure team adherence to production schedules, priorities, and delivery deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Conduct team briefings and daily operational meetings to align priorities and communicate urgent orders
• Perform staff performance reviews, annual appraisals, and development interviews; propose individual salary increases and career advancement opportunities
• Manage team leave requests and time-off approvals; escalate conflicts as required
• Distribute internal communications and relay organisational messaging to the production team
• Foster team engagement around shared workshop objectives: quality, productivity, schedule compliance, and on-time delivery
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving, escalating technical, human, or organisational anomalies to the facility director for resolution
• Manage raw material inventory and ensure timely workshop replenishment to prevent production interruptions; participate in production activities as needed
• Conduct root-cause analysis and lessons-learned debriefs following customer complaints or production anomalies to drive continuous improvement
• Serve as a proactive champion for process improvement initiatives and operational optimisation
• Enforce all HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) regulations; alert facility leadership of abnormal behaviours or safety concerns
• Propose and implement HSE improvement actions and conduct regular safety audits within the workshop

Qualifications

• BTS (Technician Degree) in Textile or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience in production or manufacturing
• In-depth knowledge of silk twisting production processes and associated machinery; familiarity with at least two twisting trades
• Knowledge of raw materials (silk, viscose) and basic maintenance principles
• Optional electrical certification (Habilitation électrique)
• Optional forklift certification (Habilitation Conduite chariot)
• Autoclave operation proficiency
• Demonstrated expertise in production scheduling and workflow optimisation
• Understanding of HSE protocols and workplace safety management

Skills

Experience

Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience in production manufacturing, with demonstrated capability in managing alternating-shift teams and coordinating complex multi-sector production operations.

Education

BTS (Technician Degree) in Textile or equivalent professional qualification; or equivalent experience in the textile or silk production sector demonstrating mastery of production processes and machinery.
