Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end development of women's sportswear and swimwear collections from studio sketches to production handover, protecting the creative intent while ensuring commercial objectives.
  • Coordinate prototype iterations, technical fittings and launch sessions with manufacturers to meet fit, quality, industrialisation and calendar targets.
  • Manage and update technical dossiers, nomenclatures and launch packs; ensure accuracy and traceability of article data across PLM, M3 and Excel.
  • Anticipate and resolve feasibility, costing and quality issues; propose material or construction alternatives to align price and industrial constraints.
  • Supervise development of materials and components, follow colouring and supply chain delivery schedules, and escalate/mitigate late inputs.
  • Prepare and lead debrief and launch meetings with suppliers, produce minutes, and ensure information flows to all stakeholders (studio, technical, production, commercial).
  • Perform price simulations during development and prior to fittings; validate component, material and workmanship costs to ensure reliable margin projections.
  • Coordinate quality investigations during and at the end of collection, initiate testing with relevant teams and implement corrective actions for future launches.
  • Manage internal timelines, issue purchase orders, follow invoicing, and support collection handover to production; organise sample archiving and model history tracking.
  • Update sales support materials and ensure commercial teams receive accurate product descriptions and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in apparel product development, preferably within women's ready-to-wear (sportswear and swimwear experience strongly preferred).
  • Degree from a fashion school or business school with specialisation relevant to product development or fashion business.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English; Italian is a plus.
  • Proven understanding of luxury product standards, fit, construction and quality control processes.
  • Strong organisational skills, rigor, autonomy and ability to perform under the cadence of seasonal collections.

Five or more years in a similar product development role within women's apparel—ideally with direct ownership of sportswear and swim ranges and demonstrated interaction with studios, suppliers and industrial teams in a luxury environment.

Education
