Role & Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with assigned materials and components suppliers, conducting regular weekly touchpoints and on-site visits to understand manufacturing processes, capabilities, constraints, and capacity
- Clearly articulate Hermès' needs and retrospective schedules to suppliers, negotiate seasonal capacity allocations, monitor performance rigorously, and conduct comprehensive end-of-season evaluations
- Coordinate internally with scheduling and planning teams to understand finished product models, production needs, and priorities; communicate and align on target delivery schedules while proactively flagging delays, deviations, and alerts
- Collaborate with the procurement team on material specifications, nomenclature, pricing, contracts, and quality alerts; support procurement with general knowledge of materials and components
- Work with stock and logistics partners to ensure accurate system flows and coordinate direct shipments between suppliers and manufacturing facilities when required
- Manage all order placement activities: parameterize planning tools and ERP systems, read material requirements from the planning system, formalize forward orders during collection development, and issue adjustment orders based on finalized boutique sales
- Negotiate and integrate supplier delivery schedules into planning systems; monitor and escalate suppliers to ensure on-time delivery against confirmed timelines
- Maintain accuracy of delivery cadence and lead times in all systems; alert relevant teams to schedule risks or potential stock-outs
- Request supplier prioritization adjustments according to scheduling requirements and track service-level performance
- Manage product returns, quality claims, and non-conformance issues; ensure data integrity in the M3 system by monitoring receipts and stock placement in alignment with physical reality
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and participate in process optimization initiatives across the supply chain
- Support finance teams in dispute resolution and excess inventory management
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac +5 or equivalent) in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in production or supply chain functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, ideally SAP M3; knowledge of Advanced Planning System (APS) functionality is advantageous
- Demonstrated rigour, organizational discipline, strong analytical and synthesis capabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Customer-focused mindset with genuine orientation toward internal client service
- Fluent English; Italian language skills are a valued addition
