Hermès seeks Procurement Specialist for metallic materials in Pantin, France. 6-month contract, Supply Chain role managing €100M+ portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Pilot the supply plan for a portfolio of metallic materials and FAG suppliers serving the leathergoods department
  • Secure and optimize supply chain operations necessary for production sites
  • Manage supplier orders in compliance with procurement frameworks
  • Maintain and update master data accuracy
  • Optimize economic stock levels, including lead-time inventory, coverage ratios, and safety stock
  • Ensure supplier performance reliability and on-time delivery metrics
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the procurement function
  • Guarantee system parameter configuration accuracy for assigned scope
  • Contribute to business intelligence tools development and reporting (Power BI)
  • Execute short-term order placement and supplier portfolio management
  • Monitor and escalate supplier deviations and production priorities
  • Anticipate supply disruptions and communicate potential shortfalls to manufacturing and planning teams
  • Develop strategic knowledge of supplier operations to tailor management tools
  • Foster continuous improvement mindset and lead-time optimization across vendor partnerships
  • Facilitate monthly performance reviews with key suppliers, including corrective action plans
  • Conduct regular on-site supplier visits and relationship development
  • Deepen partnerships by understanding supplier constraints and challenging service quality
  • Collaborate with procurement, planning, quality, product development, and controlling functions
  • Contribute to dashboard development, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics
  • Calculate supplier service levels, stock quality, order portfolio quality, and availability rates

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (Bac +5) from an engineering school, business school, or university programme with specialization in logistics and supply chain, ideally with planning and procurement focus
  • 5 years of professional experience in procurement or planning within an industrial environment (centralized or site-based production)
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI
  • Demonstrated understanding of component manufacturing processes and supplier ecosystem dynamics
  • Tenacious, analytical, and detail-oriented problem-solver with strong coordination and communication skills
  • Adaptable to evolving, dynamic operational environments
  • Well-organized, proactive, and deeply committed to operational excellence
