The Production Supervisor oversees all operations within the polishing and metal-finishing workshop, coordinating team activities to ensure alignment with quality, productivity, and on-time delivery objectives. This role manages the operational performance of a polishing team, guaranteeing proper execution of metal preparation, polishing, and finishing procedures in accordance with group excellence standards. The incumbent reports directly to the Site Production Manager and bears responsibility for HSE compliance, process adherence, and continuous operational improvement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage, motivate, and operationally oversee the polishing team, ensuring alignment with production schedules and competency-based task allocation
- Organize and coordinate manual and mechanized metal preparation, polishing, and finishing operations while maintaining equipment and material availability
- Coordinate with production planning (Ordonnanceur) to establish priorities and monitor workshop production flow
- Ensure alignment with Quality, Industrial Performance, Supply Chain, and Human Resources teams to meet lead times and operational requirements
- Validate correct execution of polishing and finishing procedures across all production phases
- Verify conformance of finished components and oversee all required quality control operations
- Record operational data in M3 and Prodsmart systems, including defect classification, rejections, and rework requirements
- Identify and anticipate operational needs that may impact productivity, production capacity, or delivery timelines
- Safeguard proper use of machinery, tools, and personal protective equipment in compliance with HSE protocols
- Promote workshop organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance standards
- Monitor and report production and quality indicators for the workshop
- Contribute to training, technical development, and integration of new team members
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial polishing, metal finishing, or equivalent roles
- Prior experience in coordinating or managing operational teams
- Proficiency in polishing, abrasion, and metal-finishing techniques
- Knowledge of materials including brass and stainless steel
- Familiarity with polishing tools, machinery, and quality-control equipment
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and equipment operation requirements
- Proven capability in planning and prioritizing tasks
- Strong commitment to quality, precision, attention to detail, and continuous improvement
- Leadership capacity and experience in managing operational teams
