Hermès Cuirs Précieux seeks a Planning Manager on a 12-month fixed contract in Paris to lead supply chain transformation for the Exotic division.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic transformation plan of the Exotic division and lead identified improvement projects
  • Consolidate short and medium-term production requirements by market, species, and finish in collaboration with the sales team
  • Organize optimal order allocation across tanneries based on site capacity and specialized expertise
  • Optimize tannery production capacity in close coordination with Supply Chain managers at three production sites
  • Consolidate and monitor tannery adherence to production and billing budgets
  • Respond to client requests aligned with collection cycles, providing long-term capacity commitments and short-term production planning based on site availability
  • Co-pilot the 'Client Needs' project as a prerequisite for consolidating all client requirements from forecast to order within the new planning system (Anaplan)
  • Animate the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and all associated routines including client needs assessment, capacity-to-demand alignment, and consolidated arbitrage
  • Track key delivery indicators including delays, lead times, and service levels; support associated action plans
  • Consolidate annual sales forecasts with commercial and finance teams by market, species, and finish
  • Establish annual production plans for all internal tanneries and subcontractors in coordination with site directors, supply managers, and finance
  • Analyze material availability gaps on supply-constrained segments in coordination with upstream flow management
  • Contribute to the design of the new planning tool (Anaplan) as a subject matter expert

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or engineering diploma with minimum 5 years of Supply Chain and Operations experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (M3 preferred), and reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and ability to resolve complex problems within multifunctional environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust across production teams and cross-functional departments (procurement, finance, commercial)
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and responsiveness
  • Passion for operational excellence and field engagement with production sites
  • Fluent English speaker

Experience

Master's degree or engineering diploma (Bac+5 minimum). Commercial or engineering background preferred.
