Ets Marcel Gandit (Hermès textile group) in Bourgoin‑Jallieu seeks a Photogravure Operator — permanent production role, 2x8 shift schedule.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare printing frames: manage stocks, inspect and mount gauzes, degrease substrates and ensure component traceability.
- Operate automated production lines: pilot equipment, perform routine adjustments and parameter entry via HMI, monitor output and report anomalies.
- Execute post-engraving operations: perform quality checks, apply reinforcement strips, varnish, carry out touch-ups and storage/garaging tasks.
- Carry out first‑level maintenance: cleaning, simple controls, consumables replacement and escalation of technical faults.
- Manage shipping and after‑sales tasks: prepare outbound shipments, process returns and maintain traceability records.
- Work collaboratively in team shifts (2x8) to guarantee production continuity, quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment; experience in textile printing or photogravure is an advantage.
- Practical understanding of production cycles and quality control procedures.
- Ability to operate automated machinery and interact with Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMI).
- Capability to perform level‑1 maintenance tasks and to detect and report technical anomalies.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, handle loads and work with chemical products; adherence to health & safety rules.
- Strong rigour, observation skills, precision, autonomy and a collaborative mindset.
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of hands‑on experience in production or manufacturing; prior exposure to textile printing, photogravure or related print processes is desirable.
Education
Vocational qualification in industrial production, printing or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent practical experience accepted.
