Hermès seeks an Operations Manager for its Hamburg boutique. Lead inventory, logistics, and back-office operations in this retail management role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Steer and coordinate all administrative back-office activities, including goods receipt bookings, cash register preparations, invoice verification, and after-sales processes
- Lead and support logistics and administration teams; organize and prioritize daily tasks according to business requirements
- Report on operational matters and inventory-related KPIs to store management and the management team
- Plan, prepare, and execute inventories and spot counts while ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Develop and implement measures to improve inventory results, stock accuracy, and warehouse processes
- Support the Store Manager in monitoring stock levels and preparing purchase orders
- Serve as the central interface with Customer Service Centre, Munich headquarters, and parent company regarding inventory, after-sales, and operational matters
- Provide operational support to sales and after-sales activities as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of retail experience with substantial store operations background
- Leadership experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate closely with sales and head office teams
- Highly structured, careful, and reliable working approach
- Capacity to proactively plan, organize, and prioritize a small team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent organizational competence
- Service-oriented, proactive in implementing improvements, and supportive of colleagues
- Pronounced team spirit
- Very good Excel and IT skills
- Advanced knowledge of retail IT systems (e.g. CEGID)

Experience
Minimum 6 years in retail operations, with substantial experience in store operations, back-office management, and inventory control. Leadership experience within retail environments is essential.
