Hermès Copenhagen seeks experienced Operations Manager to oversee store back-office, inventory, and after-sales operations at flagship retail location in Denmark.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise back-office teams (stock, sales and service, cashiers), organizing daily activities according to business needs while maintaining optimal stock levels and after-sales service
- Ensure continuous stock accuracy through reconciliation of physical and system-based inventories, conducting stock takes and cycle counts, and implementing corrective actions to reduce shrinkage
- Coordinate with store management, regional offices, and Paris Head Office on matters relating to stock, after-sales, internal controls, and maintenance
- Oversee cashier operations and payment procedures, ensuring alignment with luxury brand standards and compliance with new legal requirements
- Manage customer claims and after-sales activities in partnership with the Sales Support Specialist, monitoring quality metrics and follow-ups with the After-Sales Service Department
- Direct day-to-day store maintenance, coordinate with external suppliers and the Brussels-based Retail Operations Manager, and propose long-term maintenance planning
- Ensure application of internal control, health, and safety procedures in strict compliance with local regulations
- Manage administrative activities including expense management via COUPA, uniform and clothing logistics, and staff planning
- Drive continuous process improvement by implementing and monitoring operational procedures and training adherence across the team
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of retail experience including substantial back-office and store operations expertise
- Proven management experience with strong behavioral and communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency with retail IT systems, particularly CEGID
- Strong Excel and IT literacy
- Fluent English; Danish language is a valued asset
