Hermès seeks a Menswear Ready-to-Wear Workshop Director to lead four leather cutting and assembly workshops and coordinate prototyping, production and made-to-measure activities. The role oversees quality, artisan development, continuous improvement and resource planning, supporting a team of nearly 50 artisans. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the overall performance of four leather cutting and assembly workshops.
- Coordinate prototyping, production and made-to-measure activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ensure finished work meets the Maison’s quality and compliance requirements.
- Develop artisans’ skills and pass on exceptional craftsmanship.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and organizational practices.
- Anticipate workload changes and optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Recognized expertise in cutting, assembly and product development within a luxury ready-to-wear workshop, with more than 15 years of experience.
- A hands-on manager motivated by knowledge transfer and the continuous pursuit of quality.
- Able to lead teams with high standards and care, balance operational rigor with precise craftsmanship, and develop artisanal expertise.
Experience
More than 15 years in cutting, assembly and product development within a luxury ready-to-wear workshop; minimum 10 years of experience.
