Hermès is seeking a Menswear Product Development Assistant for a six-month full-time internship starting in March 2027 in Paris. The intern will support collection development and logistics from sketch handover to production, including PLM updates, fittings, collection events, supplier shipments and end-of-season archiving.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Collection Manager and/or Product Manager with daily responsibilities, from sketch handover through production handover.
  • Collaborate on model coding in PLM and update bills of materials with the Product Manager.
  • Help track collection receipts in PLM.
  • Assist with measuring models when prototypes arrive for fittings.
  • Help update collection documents, including PLM product sheets and development binders.
  • Help prepare products and tools for key collection events, including fittings, collection presentations, looks and runway sales.
  • Help track prototype launch sessions and technical fittings.
  • Participate in the different preparation phases of the fashion show.
  • Contribute to early-season collection analyses, including sales analysis, competitive monitoring and preparation of the provisional collection plan.
  • Help consolidate supply requirements and track orders.
  • Support the Product Manager with supplier shipments at each launch.
  • Help manage parcel shipments throughout the collection cycle.
  • Assist with model receipts and piece labelling throughout the process.
  • Help organise the archiving of samples and models at the end of the season.
  • Help manage loans with the different departments.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying at a fashion school, business school or university.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, using these tools confidently to structure, track and present information accurately.
  • Rigorous, dynamic and organised, with the ability to manage several subjects in parallel and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of a PLM system is an advantage.
