Hermès Materials Reference Assistant internship, Pantin. 6-month contract in materials development and product innovation for footwear.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of new materials in close collaboration with partner suppliers and materials developers
  • Coordinate color development activities for the current season
  • Monitor alignment between production colors and additional requirements
  • Track and validate material stages including testing, quality analysis, and specification compliance
  • Update technical documentation and manage material inventory records
  • Support material stock management and material consumption tracking
  • Build and monitor key performance indicators for the materials portfolio
  • Provide support to other departments within the Footwear Business Unit (Style, Commercial, Product Development, Quality, Collection) as required

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering school with specialization in textiles or leather
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong organizational and reliability skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Product sensitivity and understanding of material properties
