Hermès Petit h seeks Materials & Colours Coordinator in Pantin, France. Fixed-term role managing materials, colour development, and artisanal production.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop colour ranges and material associations for small-series production at the in-house atelier and external workshops, maintaining Petit h's design philosophy
  • Collaborate with the design collection and artists to translate stylistic intent into colour specifications for limited production runs
  • Select and procure textiles, leathers, and metal components in alignment with production requirements and creative opportunities
  • Coordinate material shipments to external partners according to production schedules established by the production team
  • Work with stock management to ensure accurate physical and digital inventory tracking and material flow
  • Maintain and curate the materials storage area, ensuring visibility, accessibility, and thoughtful presentation of available stock
  • Participate in inventory audits and propose storage solutions that facilitate artist creativity and team efficiency
  • Brief external manufacturing partners on material specifications and ensure proper interpretation during production execution

Qualifications

  • Formal education in art, design, or equivalent creative field
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to colour theory and material composition with ability to create harmonious aesthetic combinations
  • Deep appreciation for artisanal craft, heritage techniques, and the symbolic value of materials
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen actively and understand Petit h's creative philosophy
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and standard office software
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino software is advantageous
