Role & Responsibilities
- Own full P&L accountability for the Manhasset boutique, delivering sales, margin and inventory targets while adhering to payroll and loss‑prevention budgets.
- Lead, coach and develop the boutique leadership team and selling staff; establish performance standards, conduct regular sales coaching and write annual evaluations for direct reports.
- Define and execute local merchandising and buying strategy in partnership with merchants; prepare and manage the buying process to optimise assortment, MOS and aged inventory.
- Drive an exceptional client experience and client development programs, collaborating closely with selling support, clienteling/CRM and Communications teams to produce events and strengthen relationships.
- Manage operations and controls including inventory management, shrinkage prevention, policy compliance and store-level reporting to executive management and merchant partners.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising to ensure product storytelling and presentation standards; remain vigilant on market trends and competitive activity.
- Recruit, interview and retain talent; maintain an active candidate database and ensure alignment with company hiring and promotion policies.
- Represent the Maison during executive visits and external engagements; travel to Paris and other locations as required to align with corporate and merchant teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' store management experience or equivalent flagship Assistant Store Manager background.
- Documented experience running a high‑volume store with P&L responsibility.
- Prior buying or merchandising experience relevant to a Managing Director role; demonstrated strength in managing the buying process preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and develop multi‑person teams and to report to executive management and merchant levels.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Able to travel approximately 4–5 weeks annually to Paris; able to lift 0–25 lbs.
- Knowledge of French is helpful.

Minimum five years of progressive store management experience (or flagship assistant store manager) including P&L ownership, high‑volume operations and prior exposure to buying/merchandising and reporting to executive/merchant levels.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 130,013 to USD 153,650 per annum.
