Hermès (La Maroquinerie du Sud-Ouest) — L'Isle-d'Espagnac: Management Control Assistant (Apprenticeship) supporting monthly closings, budgets and internal control.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day financial and performance monitoring of the site, including periodic updates of production indicators (billing, hours, workforce).
- Lead aspects of the monthly closing cycle: consolidate site data, construct performance syntheses and contribute to the pole-level monthly reporting and its distribution.
- Participate in budgeting phases: contribute to capacity and financial budget preparation (capacities, investments, headcount, medium-term plan, P&L).
- Monitor operating expenses: animate local committees on expenditure, follow validation of expense reports and coordinate pole-level expense tracking activities.
- Contribute to internal control and inventory processes: accompany and verify inventories with logistics and supply chain teams, ensure adherence to internal control procedures and follow-up on disposals and stock discrepancies.
- Design and rationalise management tools and reporting templates; develop a site scorecard and tools to monitor operating costs and stock control indicators.
- Act as a liaison between site operational teams and corporate finance/stakeholders, providing timely information, alerts and recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications
- Final‑year student in a business school, IAE or university (Master level or equivalent) enrolled on an apprenticeship/alternance programme.
- Strong analytical mindset with curiosity and a continuous-improvement orientation.
- High level of rigor, precision and respect for reporting deadlines; proactive and responsive.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with operational and logistics teams.
Skills
Experience
No prior professional experience required; role is suitable for final‑year students in finance/management. Previous internships in financial control, accounting or operational finance are an advantage.
Education
Final‑year student in business school, IAE or university (Master's level or equivalent) enrolled under an apprenticeship/alternance contract.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in L'Isle-d'Espagnac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, with easy access to Bordeaux.
