Hermès — Maison Receptionist (9 month FTC) in London. Front-desk role delivering 5* visitor experience and administrative support.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all non-client visitors, delivering a warm, 5‑star Maison welcome and creating moments of surprise and delight.
  • Manage the front desk to ensure efficient, professional reception services for team members and visitors.
  • Prepare and serve refreshments (tea/coffee) for visitors on arrival and oversee presentation of the entrance area (florals, visual merchandising).
  • Coordinate visitor logistics including luggage handling, connecting visitors with appropriate team members, and maintaining a seamless visitor flow.
  • Oversee courier access, process incoming and outgoing goods, manage inbound post and assist with courier bookings for the Maison team.
  • Support internal communications between the Maison, nearby sites (Hill Street and Annex/Showroom) and the wider store network.
  • Provide back-office catering support in collaboration with the SSS team and assist with internal and external events as required.
  • Support calendar management for Store Directors and perform other administrative duties to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Previous client-facing experience in retail or hospitality, with a clear understanding of premium client service.
  • Demonstrable administrative experience and strong organisational practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, commercial and aesthetic awareness.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Experience
