Hermès is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Ateliers AS in Pierre-Bénite on a permanent, full-time basis. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across automated production equipment, along with maintenance records and support for commissioning new installations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including automated industrial systems involving pneumatics, hydraulics, special-purpose machinery and automation.
  • Repair installations by replacing and refurbishing electrical, electronic and mechanical components.
  • Carry out mechanical work, including fitting standard bearings, linear guides and adjusting mechanical systems; operate manual milling and turning machines and welding equipment for small parts and subassemblies.
  • Troubleshoot conventional relay-based electrical panels, including protective devices, power distribution and motor feeders, and commission drive inverters.
  • Diagnose faults in programmable logic controllers using software and a PC, including Rockwell, Schneider and Proface systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a production line in accordance with the maintenance plan.
  • Complete maintenance records, entering work orders and spare parts in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Assist with commissioning and starting up new automated production installations.

Qualifications

  • Bac+2 qualification, such as an industrial BTS or DUT.
  • 4–5 years of experience in a production environment in a similar maintenance technician or after-sales service role.
  • Knowledge of production environments.
  • Experience with robotic installations, including Fanuc, is an advantage for automation troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and regular communication with production teams.
  • Dynamism, initiative and curiosity.
  • Service orientation.
  • A hands-on approach and motivation to contribute to a versatile technical team of 12 technicians.
  • Commitment to improving workplace safety on a daily basis.
