Hermès Sellier in Pantin seeks a Maintenance Technician (contract, full‑time) to maintain and optimise leather production machinery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on the machine park (digital cutters, arm presses, skiving and splitting machines, gluing machines, band machines, sewing machines, etc.) according to scheduled plans and log activities in the GMAO.
  • Diagnose and execute corrective maintenance interventions; troubleshoot breakdowns and define remedial actions to restore equipment availability.
  • Manage spare parts and consumables stock: prepare quotes, place orders and liaise with suppliers.
  • Coordinate and supervise workshop fit-out and improvement projects in collaboration with stakeholders and external contractors.
  • Develop, implement and follow level‑1 maintenance procedures; train artisans on correct machine use and first‑line maintenance.
  • Optimise utilisation of the machine park (registration of entries/exits, specifications, availability) and monitor maintenance costs and performance indicators.
  • Accompany suppliers and subcontractors on site and ensure contractual and technical compliance.
  • Contribute to the deployment of HSE culture: propose measures to improve protection of people and assets and collaborate with HSE teams.

Qualifications

  • Two‑year post‑secondary technical diploma (Bac +2 / BTS / DUT) or equivalent in maintenance, industrial engineering or similar.
  • Solid technical knowledge in pneumatics, mechanics and electrical systems; hydraulics is a plus.
  • Proven experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in a production environment.
  • Rigorous application of safety procedures (PPE use, equipment lockout/tagout, intervention preparation, co‑activity management).
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (GMAO) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to prioritise interventions and manage urgent breakdowns.
  • Excellent teamwork and autonomous working ability, with pedagogical skills to train users and communicate procedures.
