Hermès seeks a Maintenance Project Coordinator in Geneva. Oversee facility management and maintenance operations across Swiss and Central European stores.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inventory all existing maintenance contracts across stores and identify gaps in service coverage
- Identify, tender, and negotiate local maintenance contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness and service quality
- Formalize maintenance procedures and define respective responsibilities of stores, head office, local architects, and contractors
- Conduct regular store visits to assess maintenance performance and ensure compliance with brand standards
- Review store maintenance requirements and prioritize necessary works with cost estimations
- Manage maintenance budgets to ensure departmental goals remain on schedule and within allocated funds
- Provide monthly budget updates to management with variance analysis and corrective actions
- Coordinate and oversee planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance across all building systems including HVAC, lighting, flooring, lifts, and furniture
- Organize and manage security systems maintenance and upgrades including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and tagging systems in collaboration with Internal Control
- Monitor Group audits and ensure compliance with health, safety regulations, and safe working practices
- Support implementation of sustainable practices and environmental objectives across all retail locations
- Assist with new store openings and staff training on facility management procedures
Qualifications
- Technical studies background or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance or facilities coordination role
- Understanding of luxury retail environments with demonstrated attention to quality and safety details
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent organizational and administrative capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); German or Italian appreciated

Minimum 2 years in a similar maintenance coordination or facilities management role, preferably within a luxury retail or hospitality environment with exposure to multi-site operations.
Education
Technical studies or equivalent professional qualification in facility management, building services, or a related engineering discipline.
