Machine Setup Operator (CDI) in Serre-les-Sapins, France. Permanent position in precision machining, managing Bumotec workstations with milling and turning operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and monitor production on machining equipment in compliance with site industrial standards and safety protocols
- Respect workplace organization, cleanliness, and safety procedures; wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety guidelines
- Install cutting tools, perform tooling adjustments, and install measurement and control devices
- Machine production series while maintaining productivity targets and adjust settings in real time during production runs
- Conduct self-inspection of manufactured parts in compliance with established procedures
- Prepare the work environment and organize raw materials, consumables, and supplies required for production
- Perform first-level maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment
- Execute material cutting operations as needed to meet production requirements
- Provide surveillance and intervention support on Saturday shifts (approximately 2 hours per month)
- Create reliable and accurate activity reports and maintain comprehensive production documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts
- Receive incoming materials in compliance with safety protocols and ensure system registration of all inventory
- Monitor and replenish tooling supplies as required
Qualifications
- Technical training in machining with demonstrated experience in industrial environments
- Confirmed experience in milling operations, ideally complemented by turning experience
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and industrial design specifications
- Knowledge of metrology and precision measurement techniques
- CAD/CAM (CAO/FAO) knowledge is highly valued
- CACES category 3 certification is appreciated; training may be provided post-hire
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Basic industrial maintenance knowledge is considered an additional asset
Skills
Experience
Confirmed professional experience in milling operations within an industrial production environment. Experience with multi-axis machining and tooling adjustment is required. Additional turning experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Education
Technical qualification in machining, tool-making, mechanical production, or equivalent vocational training.
