Machine Operator position at Saint-Louis luxury crystal manufactory in Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche, France. CDI role managing acid-etching operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the acid-etching installation and neutralization system, ensuring proper chemical handling and equipment calibration based on piece dimensions and characteristics
- Monitor product quality post-etching and conduct quality assurance checks to maintain the exceptional standards of Saint-Louis crystal
- Load and manage rotating drums within acid baths according to production schedule and specifications
- Anticipate, detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly
- Coordinate with the Cold Glass department and production teams to ensure fluid supply of glasses, goblets, decorative pieces, large items, and carafes across all production islands
- Report activity results and operational data to the Cold Glass supervisor
- Propose continuous improvements to production processes and equipment efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial experience as a machine operator
- Technical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in chemical handling and safety protocols
- Ability to work shifts (2x8 and 3x8 schedules)
- Capacity to manage complex production workflows and coordinate across multiple teams
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated industrial experience in machine operation roles, preferably in manufacturing environments involving chemical processes or precision equipment management.
Education
Technical training in machine operation or equivalent vocational qualification recommended. Internal chemical risk training will be provided.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche, Grand Est, France, with easy access to Strasbourg.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 2,000 per month.
