Hermès is hiring a Logistics Associate in Paris on a full-time, permanent contract. The role covers goods receipt and inspection, careful packing and shipment processing, transport documentation and tracking, support for internal clients, and compliance with site safety and security procedures.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and check the quantity and quality of parcels and goods delivered by carriers and couriers.
- Record receipts in the NOMADIA tracking system.
- Route goods to the appropriate areas, handling products according to their fragility.
- Receive and check the quantity and quality of goods deposited internally for packing, shipping or delivery.
- Carefully pack products in accordance with international transport requirements, including size and weight limits and the preparation of required documents.
- Enter shipments into transport software.
- Check transport documents for compliance.
- Check shipment tracking daily using the files provided by carriers.
- Welcome internal clients and support them in finding transport solutions.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate contact.
- Manage transport documents administratively, following filing and archiving procedures.
- Replenish packaging supplies.
- Inform the manager of any irregularities.
- Keep the work area tidy and clean.
- Coordinate work with other team members, including teams based at other sites.
- Maintain an excellent service-oriented approach toward colleagues, other departments, and internal and external clients.
- Follow building safety and security rules, including keeping emergency exits clear and wearing personal protective equipment.
- Check daily, at the end of each working day, that secured areas are properly closed.
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of experience in similar duties.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, NOMADIA, and courier and carrier software.
- Listening skills.
- Ability to adapt to a range of contacts, including senior management, managers, teams, external clients, internal clients and service providers.
- Diplomacy.
- Ability to work under pressure.
