Role & Responsibilities

  • Review, mark up, and prepare legal contracts across event, hospitality, vendor, and general commercial categories
  • Track and maintain litigation calendar, contract obligations, and critical deadlines to ensure compliance
  • Onboard landlords and vendors into payment and management systems whilst verifying documentation completeness
  • Oversee negotiation, execution, and filing of non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality documents
  • Manage and update internal compliance documentation and legal forms database to reflect current organizational requirements
  • Prepare, edit, revise, proofread, and redline legal documents including contracts, agreements, correspondence, and memoranda
  • Receive and coordinate responses to legal process, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries in consultation with relevant business units
  • Support development and implementation of legal projects, programs, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and strategic operations
  • Conduct online legal research and monitor Federal and State legislative changes relevant to business operations
  • Coordinate travel logistics and expense management for the Senior Vice President of Legal

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of paralegal experience or equivalent role in an in-house legal department or mid-size/small law firm in New York
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational attainment
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated excellence in legal research, contract analysis, and documentation preparation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and complex projects whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to build collaborative relationships across organizational levels and departments
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking ability in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with utmost discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; self-motivated and service-oriented
