Hermès Sellier seeks a Leather Sales Advisor in Paris (Faubourg St‑Honoré). Permanent full-time role selling luxury leather goods and building an international client base.
Role & Responsibilities
- Actively sell and promote leather pieces from the department, proposing appropriate products and styling to meet client needs.
- Work collaboratively with the entire store team to develop sales and achieve departmental targets across an expanded sales floor.
- Identify and qualify sales opportunities, maintain high mobility on the sales floor and proactively engage both existing and prospective clients.
- Ensure an exceptional in-store client experience, delivering memorable, bespoke service and liaising with external relations when appropriate.
- Build, maintain and autonomously manage a personal client file; follow up with national and international clientele to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Represent and transmit Hermès’ values to clients and new colleagues, and actively promote the work and savoir-faire of the Maison’s artisans.
- Contribute to store operations: participate in inventories, assist with merchandising changes, help organise stock and maintain department standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum six years of professional experience in luxury retail, preferably within leather goods.
- Demonstrated passion for client service, strong commercial orientation and a proven track record of achieving sales results.
- Confident, dynamic and audacious temperament with excellent interpersonal skills and a generous approach to client engagement.
- Fluent written and spoken English; comfortable communicating with an international clientele.
- Digital literacy and agility with contemporary communication tools and retail technologies.
- Exemplary conduct, humility and alignment with the discretion expected in a luxury environment.
Skills
Experience
At least 6 years of hands-on experience in luxury retail sales, with a strong preference for candidates who have sold leather goods and cultivated international clientele.
Education
No specific academic diploma required; vocational training in luxury retail, sales or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
