Hermès Leather Goods Craftsperson position in Belley, France. Full-time CDI role combining 6-month professionalization and 12-month apprenticeship with CAP Maroquinerie training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute full production of leather goods (handbags, small leather goods, accessories) from raw materials to finished product, maintaining Hermès quality and timeline specifications
- Master and apply traditional leatherworking techniques, hand tools, and materials through rigorous apprenticeship under experienced artisans
- Demonstrate consistent attention to detail, precision, and commitment to durable, artisanal craftsmanship throughout all production phases
- Collaborate effectively with workshop teams and contribute to the collective knowledge and skill-building environment of the atelier
- Progress through structured skill validation milestones and adapt techniques as required by evolving product specifications

The successful candidate will complete a 6-month professionalization contract (contrat de professionnalisation) followed by a 12-month apprenticeship contract (contrat d'alternance) at the École Hermès des savoir-faire des Alpes, culminating in the CAP Maroquinerie (Leather Goods Technician Certificate) and progression to permanent employment (CDI).
