Hermès Sellier — Leather Goods Apprentice in Pantin (Île-de-France). 12-month professionalisation contract starting Sept 2026, with potential CDI.
Role & Responsibilities
- Train in and perform traditional artisanal leatherworking techniques under atelier supervision.
- Execute manual assembly, hand-stitching and finishing operations for bags, belts and lifestyle leather goods, ensuring adherence to Hermès quality and productivity criteria.
- Produce complete leather articles (e.g., a finished bag) through meticulous, manual processes and tool use.
- Carry out self-inspection and quality control of finished items and report defects or non-conformities.
- Respect workshop safety, housekeeping and process rules to maintain a healthy, productive working environment.
Qualifications
- Holder of a CAP or BAC PRO in maroquinerie (leather goods) or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Willingness to engage in a 12-month contrat de professionnalisation / apprenticeship with a start date of September 1, 2026.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, patience and discipline.
- Team spirit combined with the ability to work autonomously and to self-evaluate.
- Commitment to continuous learning, personal improvement and the pursuit of excellence.
Skills
Experience
Beginners accepted; candidates with vocational training in leather goods are preferred. Profiles in professional retraining are considered at certain recruitment periods. Practical experience in hand assembly or artisanal sewing is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
CAP or BAC PRO in maroquinerie (leather goods) or equivalent vocational diploma.
