Role & Responsibilities
- Perform all upstream production steps for leather goods: accurately cut hides and prepare component pieces for assembly using dedicated cutting and preparation equipment.
- Work to defined quality standards and production time objectives to ensure finished items meet Hermès’s exacting criteria.
- Operate and maintain assigned machines and hand tools, adapting to different leathers and models in serial or small‑series production.
- Inspect cut components for defects and report nonconformities; participate in basic quality control and traceability procedures.
- Collaborate within a small workshop team, follow training and process documentation, and contribute to a safe, orderly workplace.
Qualifications
- Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills; demonstrable attention to detail.
- Motivation to learn and progress within an artisanal trade; openness to structured training at the École Hermès des savoir‑faire.
