Role & Responsibilities
- Execute all pre-assembly stages for leather goods production: select hides, cut patterns and prepare pieces for assembly using dedicated cutting and preparation machines.
- Work accurately across a variety of skins and models (handbags, small leather goods), maintaining required quality standards and production times.
- Operate and maintain dedicated cutting machinery and auxiliary equipment, ensuring parts are prepared to specification for downstream assemblers.
- Inspect material and cut components for color, grain and defects; make on-the-spot decisions about usability of pieces.
- Collaborate with artisans and supervisors in a small-team workshop environment to meet daily production targets and continuous-improvement objectives.
Qualifications
