Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and industrialize reliable, scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) from source systems to data platforms (data lake / data warehouse).
  • Define and evolve the target data architecture in collaboration with architecture and cloud teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of Data Engineers; promulgate best practices around code quality, testing, performance and security.
  • Ensure data quality, governance and compliance through testing, traceability, documentation and appropriate controls.
  • Collaborate with product and analytics teams to translate business needs into production-ready data products.
  • Continuously improve the platform by auditing the existing landscape, reducing technical debt and optimising pipeline performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in computer science, information systems, or project management (engineering school or university master).
  • Approximately 10 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, including prior experience as a technical lead or referent.
  • Proven experience delivering data projects in cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and handling high-volume or high‑criticality data workloads.
  • Strong command of SQL and Python and solid experience with modern data architectures (data lake, data warehouse, ETL/ELT).
  • Familiarity with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow and DBT, and with CI/CD and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of data quality, security, performance and governance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders, strong analytical rigour and ability to manage multiple priorities in an agile environment.
  • Curiosity and appetite for adopting new data technologies.
