Hermès seeks a Laboratory Technician for its Research & Development team in Le Vaudreuil to support cosmetic product development and reformulation through stability, compatibility, organoleptic, physicochemical, and analytical testing. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct formula stability tests, including physicochemical measurements, according to schedule.
- Conduct raw material stability tests, including physicochemical measurements, according to schedule.
- Conduct formula-packaging compatibility tests, including physicochemical measurements, according to schedule.
- Perform physicochemical measurements on raw materials and formulas.
- Package formulas to meet various requirements according to schedule.
- Follow procedures and protocols.
- Analyze, enter, and communicate results in the company’s information systems, including shared folders, LSI, and ERP M3.
- Prepare and send samples for service providers, subcontractors, and internal presentations.
- Contribute to cosmetic product development and reformulation projects by performing organoleptic, physicochemical, and analytical tests and measurements on raw materials and formulas produced in-house and through subcontracting.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role; the stated experience requirement is also at least 3 years.
- General knowledge of cosmetics and perfumery.
- Chemistry knowledge is essential; olfaction knowledge is optional.
- Proficiency in using laboratory weighing and measurement instruments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook and Excel.
- High discretion and confidentiality.
- Initiative, organizational skills, and autonomy.
- Service orientation and teamwork.
- Ability to work on several projects in parallel with different stakeholders.
