The Laboratory Technician Assistant intern will join the chemistry laboratory within the Scientific Expertise and Regulation team at Hermès Maroquinerie Sellerie, supporting leather testing and database development. This full-time, 3–4-month internship is based in Pantin and starts in March 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a leather database to characterise durability, workability and chemical footprint.
- Conduct and interpret tests including abrasion resistance, flex endurance, tear resistance, surface energy and infrared spectroscopy.
Qualifications
- Bac+3-level education in chemistry or materials physicochemistry.
- Knowledge of material properties and characterisation techniques is an advantage.
- Rigorous and methodical approach, with technical aptitude.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking and precision.
- Autonomy and critical thinking.
- Good communication skills.
