Hermès seeks a Junior Style Designer for its women's ready-to-wear leather studio in Pantin, France. Fixed-term contract role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in research and creative development of women's ready-to-wear leather collections, exploring new silhouettes, volumes, constructions, and design details through drawing, maquettes, and 3D volumetric work
  • Develop conceptual ideas autonomously from initial research through to concrete realization, demonstrating initiative and independent creative problem-solving
  • Conduct iconographic, artistic, and vintage research to inform and enrich collection development
  • Collaborate on the development of finishes and details with particular attention to leather treatment and embroidery techniques
  • Prepare design documentation and technical specifications for model development using ProCreate and Adobe Illustrator
  • Participate in fittings and prototype reviews in close collaboration with pattern makers, workshops, and development teams
  • Contribute to aesthetic coherence and overall quality standards across the collection
  • Maintain and update collection management tools to ensure organized studio operations
  • Engage in daily collaboration with design, development, and production teams to ensure seamless workflow

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience as a stylist, ideally within luxury or premium ready-to-wear environments
  • Prior experience with leather in either apparel or accessories design, preferred
  • Strong sensitivity to Hermès design language, with demonstrated curiosity in art, fashion, heritage, and artisanal craftsmanship
  • Exceptional drawing ability and proficiency with 3D volumetric modeling
  • Refined sensibility toward materials, finishes, and embroidery techniques
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as ProCreate
  • Demonstrated autonomy and structured creative research methodology
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
