Hermès seeks a Junior Retail Planner in Manhattan, NY to support sales forecasting, inventory management, and open-to-buy planning. $70K–$80K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Retail Planning team in preparing and conducting open-to-buy reviews under the guidance of the Retail Planning Manager
- Forecast sales during the budget planning process and prepare long-term and short-term sales forecasts by product and reference level
- Monitor execution of the buy, providing collection recaps during and post-market
- Manage auto-replenishment SKUs, including model stock at the door and SKU level, to drive inventory optimization and maximize sales productivity
- Analyze business performance to identify opportunities and risks across channels and product categories, presenting recommended shifts to improve KPIs
- Update and manage weekly and monthly reporting deliverables
- Partner with Merchandise Managers for qualitative feedback on product forecasts and OTBs
- Lead and manage reorder proposals, collaborating with the Merchandise team for strategic guidance
- Collaborate with the Inventory Planning team to set minimum/maximum levels and align on inventory targets
- Partner with IT to ensure data accuracy and reporting efficiencies
- Align OTB assumptions with Finance
- Support ad-hoc requests and provide additional responsibilities as directed by Manager or leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2–3 years of merchandise planning or related experience with direct open-to-buy experience strongly preferred
- Advanced competency in retail math and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Power BI and IBM Planning Analytics Workspace a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills
- Proactive mindset with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment

Experience
2–3 years of merchandise planning or related experience, with direct open-to-buy experience strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree required.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 80,000 per annum.
