Jewellery Setter position at Hermès Fine Jewellery, Chessy. Full-time CDI role executing stone-setting for fine jewellery pieces.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute stone-setting operations on medium and high jewellery pieces according to specifications, using appropriate techniques and ensuring adherence to quality standards and internal procedures
- Perform post-inspection rework and retouching of stone-setting as required by the quality control process
- Participate actively in workshop continuous improvement initiatives by identifying manufacturing challenges and collaborating with colleagues across other craft disciplines to resolve issues
- Maintain rigorous quality standards and attention to detail throughout all stone-setting operations
Qualifications
- Formal training or equivalent qualification in stone-setting techniques
- Proficiency in all principal stone-setting techniques for diamonds and coloured gemstones, including claw setting, closed setting, grain setting, and rail setting
- Mastery of all processes and procedures within the stone-setting discipline
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision, rigour, and attention to detail
- Strong team orientation and collaborative spirit
- Commitment to contributing expertise and advancing an exceptional craft
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in stone-setting or related jewellery manufacturing discipline, with demonstrated mastery of principal stone-setting techniques and proven ability to execute complex work to high standards consistently.
Education
Formal training or qualification in jewellery stone-setting or equivalent artisanal education in the jewellery discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Chessy, Île-de-France, France, with easy access to Paris.
