Hermès — New York: Inventory Control Specialist (Maison Madison). Full‑time role managing receiving, cycle counts, shipping and inventory reconciliation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate, organised store inventory and adhere to Hermès asset-protection standards.
  • Receive incoming shipments and process all merchandise into store inventory on the same business day, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
  • Print and ticket merchandise, returns and price updates; process and reconcile returns, damages and RTVs.
  • Organise and participate in weekly cycle counts and bi‑annual inventories; reconcile discrepancies with store management and operations teams.
  • Process, record and follow up on all after‑sales service requests and related documentation.
  • Monitor and replenish shipping, selling and store supplies; manage ordering to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Support store management by analysing inventory needs and developing inventory strategies that support the selling process and warehouse standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in operations (retail or warehouse); luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to perform accurate cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Capacity to lift items up to 25 lbs. without assistance and to multi‑task with accuracy.
