Hermès seeks an Inventory Control Specialist in Boston, MA to manage receiving, cycle counts and inventory accuracy at the Boston boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately record all incoming merchandise and packages into the store inventory the same business day; ensure proper documentation for all shipments.
  • Print and apply tickets, manage price updates and process returns, damages and after‑sales service requests with accurate recordkeeping.
  • Generate and manage packing/shipping, transfers and RTVs to other locations; maintain shipping and selling supplies inventory.
  • Organize, participate in and reconcile weekly cycle counts and bi‑annual inventories in coordination with the Operations Manager and Managing Director.
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies that support the selling process and maintain warehouse/store standards.
  • Analyze stock levels with Store Management and recommend replenishment to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of operations or inventory experience; experience in a luxury retail environment preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze information and resolve problems.
  • High attention to detail and strong ability to multi‑task accurately under time pressure.
  • Demonstrated adherence to policies and procedures and focus on asset protection and inventory control.
  • Comfortable using internal inventory systems and external shipping software; able to follow written and verbal directives.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.

Experience
