Hermès seeks Intellectual Property Legal Counsel for Americas region, based in New York. 18-month VIE contract.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive anti-counterfeiting strategy across the Americas region, from customs applications to enforcement authority training
- Build and strengthen collaboration with local authorities including customs, police, and IP attachés
- Monitor online marketplaces and social media to detect and address counterfeiting activity
- Manage pre-litigation and litigation files in civil and criminal matters alongside investigators and local law firms
- Support local teams on projects involving the Group's intellectual property rights
- Prepare activity reports and track legislative developments across the Americas
Qualifications
- Expertise in Intellectual Property Law
- Fluency in both French and English
- Ability to manage legal files with autonomy, precision, and team collaboration
- First experience in an international environment preferred
- Understanding of customs regulations and IP enforcement procedures

Experience
Beginners accepted; prior experience in an international legal environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Law degree required; specialization or coursework in Intellectual Property Law strongly preferred.
