Six-month internship in Industrial Performance and Lean Management at Hermès' Champigny-sur-Marne facility, starting January 2027.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct Gemba observations and process analysis to identify bottlenecks, cycle time inefficiencies, and waste (mudas) across workshop operations
  • Deploy and implement Lean tools and methodologies including 5S, PDCA, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kanban, visual management, and standardization across defined operational areas
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects targeting productivity, quality, lead times, safety, and working conditions
  • Facilitate collaborative workshops and working groups to engage production teams in problem-solving and innovation
  • Develop and refine operational performance indicators and performance management dashboards tailored to team requirements
  • Document diagnostic assessments and action plans; formalize best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Support the adoption of new standards through mentoring and change management
  • Measure results and contribute to the sustainability and scalability of implemented improvements
  • Provide training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to embed continuous improvement culture

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in the final year of an engineering school or Master's degree program with specialization in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Performance, Lean Management, or Production Management
  • Mastery of Lean continuous improvement tools: 5S, PDCA, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies: 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why analysis
  • Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with structured problem-solving mindset
  • Experience with project management and change management disciplines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Prior experience in an industrial environment is valued
