Hermès is hiring a part-time Industrial Engineering Intern for its five-month Generation H program, scheduled January 11–June 28, 2027, at the Dayton, New Jersey Service Center, with occasional travel to its New York City corporate office. The in-person internship pays US$20 per hour and is scheduled for more than 15 and fewer than 35 hours per week; interns also attend a speaker series, receive mentor feedback and coaching, network with stakeholders, and contribute to a capstone project.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct process time studies and analyze data to assess process performance.
- Work with department leaders and associates to identify improvements to physical and system processes.
- Assist with developing and organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with the team on strategic recommendations for long-term logistics projects.
- Develop methods to measure and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across logistics departments, including inbound, outbound, and inventory management.
- Partner with leadership to communicate and plan identified improvements and projects.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering; MBA candidates with an Industrial Engineering background will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and develop solutions using analytics, data, and observations.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with industrial engineering skills such as time studies, facilities layouts, process improvement, and lean methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with other analytical tools and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Luxury brand experience is an advantage.
- Spanish language skills are strongly preferred but not required.
- Able to work in person at a Company-designated location during the five-month program.
