Hermès — Indirect Procurement Buyer, Communications (fixed-term, 18 months) — Paris. Lead communications category sourcing, RFPs and CSR-aligned supplier partnerships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the functional buyer for the Communications category within the Group’s Indirect Purchasing Directorate, deploying purchasing strategy and procedures across internal communications teams.
- Design and run RFPs and sourcing processes: supplier research, drafting specifications and consultation documents, negotiation and contractualisation.
- Build qualitative and quantitative procurement synergies across group entities to capture economies of scale and improved service quality.
- Animate and coordinate prescriber communities and support internal clients through the end-to-end procurement process.
- Propose optimisation initiatives (cost savings, organisational improvements, and qualitative enhancement of purchased services/goods).
- Support adoption and use of procurement tools (e‑procurement, evaluation platforms) and oversee supplier assessments including RSE/CSR criteria.
- Systematically integrate RSE/CSR and risk-management considerations into category decisions and supplier selection.
- Foster long-term, respectful supplier relationships and ensure high standards of execution in line with the maison’s creative and production requirements.
- Travel within Île-de-France as required to meet stakeholders and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from a business school or equivalent; specialization in Purchasing is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in indirect procurement; prior experience in communications procurement is an advantage.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Proven negotiation skills and experience managing competitive tender processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence creative teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Organised, autonomous, adaptable and diplomatic; comfortable in a high‑quality, creative environment.

Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in indirect purchasing; hands-on exposure to communications, events or agency sourcing is desirable.
Education
Master’s degree (Business School or equivalent); specialization in Purchasing/Supply Chain preferred.
