La Montre Hermès seeks an Import-Export Manager in Brügg, Switzerland. Full-time permanent role managing international logistics and trade compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipment organization and logistics for regular exports and special events in collaboration with the Import-Export team and other departments
- Prepare and manage export documentation including commercial invoices, pro forma invoices, bills of lading, electronic declarations, CITES permits, legalization certificates, EUR 1 certificates, and ATA carnets
- Maintain compliance with international trade legislation, free trade agreements, and customs regulations for both export and import operations
- Select the most appropriate freight transport mode based on cargo type, security requirements, and cost optimization
- Manage CITES orders through the Federal Veterinary Office online platform and declare all exports in the designated software system
- Serve as primary liaison for national and international transport inquiries, merchandise returns, and customs procedures
- Verify tariff classifications, maintain and update the company data platform (Bolduc), and validate freight forwarder and carrier invoices
- Monitor shipments through to final destination, identify and resolve export issues, and propose corrective solutions
- Retrieve and maintain customs documentation as proof of export, ensure regular filing and archiving of all records
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimize shipment consolidation and cost reduction
- Provide daily support to internal and external clients with pertinent solutions and information regarding international trade matters
- Manage logistics for trade show participation and special commercial events
Qualifications
- CFC Commercial Employee diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience at a freight forwarding company or in an export department
- Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Fluent French (written and spoken)
- Fluent English (business level)
- Strong team orientation and acute sense of prioritization
- Excellent stress management and ability to work under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail and sense of responsibility
- Rigorous verification and quality control mindset

Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in export operations or freight forwarding, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of international logistics, customs procedures, and trade documentation management.
