Hermès seeks an HSE, Works and Maintenance Manager in Paris to lead health, safety, and facilities operations across French manufacturing sites.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure and promote occupational health and safety across all sites, including DUERP (risk assessment document) updates, annual HSE roadmap development with management and workshop leaders, onboarding protocols, and induction training for new employees
  • Manage maintenance and upkeep of site infrastructure including buildings, equipment, and machinery, with responsibility for planning and supervising installation, renovation, maintenance, and monitoring operations
  • Guarantee asset security by monitoring and maintaining access control systems and anti-intrusion systems, manage employee access credentials, and oversee third-party contractor safety during on-site interventions
  • Execute and supervise security operations including evacuation drills, fire alarm testing, and fire safety training; maintain relationships with external organizations including insurers, monitoring firms, regulatory bodies, and DREAL
  • Implement and monitor HSE performance indicators across safety, health, and environmental metrics; conduct accident root-cause analysis and identify improvement actions; build HSE training plans in collaboration with HR
  • Conduct or coordinate required regulatory assessments including occupational exposure limits (VLEP) and noise measurements; ensure all equipment and facilities meet current safety standards
  • Prepare workspaces for new employees including IT equipment and access credentials; organize office relocations and workspace reconfigurations; manage inventory of office equipment and furniture
  • Oversee infrastructure investment identification, submission, and deployment in coordination with senior leadership and departmental heads; manage budgets for all engaged costs
  • Maintain and optimize preventative maintenance plans for electrical, HVAC, and other critical systems; control facility compliance with applicable regulations
  • Assemble vendor documentation for new contractors to ensure compliance with parent company standards; conduct regular follow-up audits of all subcontractors
  • Prepare for and coordinate audits across internal workshops and suppliers covering HSE and regulatory topics (ERM, QIMA, RJC audits); conduct diagnostic assessments, analyze findings, and guide corrective action implementation
  • Contribute to Carbon Balance reporting and participate in annual regulatory reporting including CSRD; deploy the Group's sustainability plan across internal sites

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments as an HSE Manager, Works Manager, or equivalent
  • Proven expertise in occupational health and safety management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated experience with facilities maintenance, infrastructure management, and capital project oversight
  • Strong knowledge of French and European HSE regulations, environmental standards, and building codes
  • Experience managing multi-site operations with cross-functional team coordination
  • Track record of successful audit preparation and vendor compliance management

Professional qualification or degree in occupational health and safety, facilities management, or related engineering discipline is preferred. French regulatory certifications in HSE or occupational safety are advantageous.
