Puiforcat seeks HSE Officer for 9-month contract in Pantin, France. Oversee health, safety, compliance, and industrial methods across luxury silverware workshop and flagship boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations across both Puiforcat establishments and maintain legal compliance through ongoing regulatory monitoring
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Single Document for Professional Risk Assessment (DUERP) and adapt workplace safety protocols to reflect operational hazards
- Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, inventory, and alignment with identified workplace risks; establish and communicate tailored safety procedures for each work station
- Organize and deliver employee awareness campaigns, training sessions, and information activities to embed a safety-conscious culture across teams and external contractors
- Monitor and coordinate regulatory inspections and maintenance of workshop equipment, including dust extraction systems, chemical storage protocols, electrical safety standards, and machinery compliance
- Track HSE performance indicators—frequency rates, severity rates, and minor incidents—and prepare quarterly reports for the Works Committee (CSE)
- Conduct and support both internal and external audits while proactively identifying areas for improvement and alerting senior management to any compliance deviations
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes, quality systems, and logistics efficiency within the Pantin workshop
- Coordinate maintenance oversight of the machine fleet, liaising with internal and external service providers to ensure operational reliability
Qualifications
- Upper-level education in engineering or equivalent discipline
- Demonstrated HSE experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to manage projects independently and drive cross-functional initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and pedagogical skills to engage diverse stakeholders—craftspeople, management, and external service providers
- Competence in regulatory monitoring, risk assessment documentation, and occupational health standards

First professional experience in an industrial HSE role, demonstrating concrete achievement and operational mastery in health and safety management within a manufacturing environment.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent upper-level qualification in a related discipline.
