HRBP Manager – Hermès Korea, Seoul. Strategic HR role managing talent, engagement, and organizational development for luxury brand. Reports to HR Director.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement performance management processes including target-setting, mid-term reviews, final evaluations, and 360-degree appraisal cycles across the organization
- Conduct talent review and succession planning initiatives to identify, develop, and retain leadership talent aligned with organizational strategy
- Design and implement employee engagement programs and conduct engagement surveys to drive satisfaction, retention, and cultural alignment with Hermès values
- Develop and execute diversity and inclusion strategies, programs, and initiatives to foster a respectful, inclusive workplace culture
- Provide strategic HR consultation and advisory services to business leaders on talent strategy, organizational design, and people management effectiveness
- Equip managers with tools, training, and knowledge for effective team leadership and people management practices
- Monitor, manage, and resolve employee relations issues while maintaining open communication between management and workforce
- Maintain compliance with local labor laws and regulations; oversee policy development and communication across all regions
- Coordinate labor management council meetings and respond to labor audits by government ministries and internal group auditors
- Support organizational change management initiatives through communication planning, stakeholder alignment, and workforce training
- Partner cross-functionally with other HR disciplines to deploy best-practice HR solutions and drive policy harmonization
- Develop workforce plans in partnership with business leaders to align talent supply with organizational demand
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience in a dynamic, international environment
- Demonstrated expertise as an HR Business Partner with proven success in strategic advisory roles
- Working knowledge across multiple HR disciplines including organizational development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and performance management
- Exceptional ethical standards, interpersonal skills, and professional maturity in HR practice
- Superior communication and presentation abilities with proven capacity to influence and persuade stakeholders
- Certified coaching qualification or in-house coaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in human resources information systems and business analytics tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional environment
Skills
Experience
Over 12 years of progressive HR experience at a dynamic organization, with demonstrated expertise in an HRBP role. The candidate should have proven experience designing and implementing enterprise HR initiatives, building strategic partnerships with business leaders, and managing complex organizational change in a multicultural environment. Experience working for a luxury goods, international, or highly matrixed organization is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Certifications in executive coaching, change management, or advanced HR disciplines are preferred.
