Hermès Bons en Chablais seeks an HR Manager for a fixed-term contract. Lead generalist HR strategy and operations at this heritage leather goods manufacturing facility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Implement and pilot HR strategy across all functional dimensions and organizational changes
  • Define optimal organizational structure in collaboration with the Production Director to achieve strategic objectives
  • Lead all site recruitment operations within budget, including artisan training program recruitment and support function hiring
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and integration pathways
  • Oversee compliance with labour law, payroll procedures, work time regulations, and employment contracts
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of personnel data for shared services payroll processing
  • Develop and monitor the training plan aligned with individual and collective development needs and strategic priorities
  • Conduct annual salary reviews and compensation assessments to maintain internal and external equity
  • Manage labour relations, employee representative bodies (CSSCT, CSE), and annual negotiations
  • Foster constructive social dialogue and proactively address potential conflicts
  • Support performance improvement processes and accompany management teams in difficult situations
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives in coordination with the HSE Officer
  • Deploy actions following employee engagement surveys and manage associated communication plans
  • Execute Hermès internal communication strategies and develop site-specific engagement initiatives
  • Lead and develop the capabilities of two HR team members
  • Participate actively in the management committee

Qualifications

  • Generalist HR qualification from a recognized institution (IAE, CELSA, CIFFOP, Master in Law, Sciences Po, Business School, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in generalist HR functions
  • Ideally acquired in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of HR strategy combined with operational excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated proximity to teams, service orientation, active listening, and accessibility
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working within matrix structures
  • Knowledge of French labour law and collective bargaining frameworks
  • Proficiency with HR information systems and payroll compliance processes
