Hermès HSE Intern in Nouvelle-Aquitaine: 6-month internship focused on workplace health, safety & ergonomic risk prevention at luxury leather manufacturing facilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support safety coordinators in designing and executing musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) prevention initiatives, including posture assessments and workstation optimization
- Collaborate with HR and production directors to strengthen absenteeism tracking systems and pain-related health monitoring
- Update and maintain workplace risk assessments, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions across both production sites
- Participate in HSE audits alongside workshop managers and propose evidence-based improvement actions
- Conduct incident investigations and near-miss analyses in partnership with safety coordinators and artisan representatives
- Analyze accident data and develop targeted corrective strategies to reduce workplace injuries
- Identify, evaluate, and rank occupational hazards (DUERP), with emphasis on cutting, assembly, and stitching operations
- Support communication campaigns regarding HSE topics and coordinate risk awareness initiatives with all personnel
- Organize and manage fire evacuation drills, including procedure development and reporting to senior leaders
Qualifications
- Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of ergonomic assessment methodologies and MSD prevention strategies
- Familiarity with risk evaluation frameworks and workplace hazard identification
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams including artisans and technical staff
Skills
Experience
Student or recent graduate pursuing or holding a qualification in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, or a related field.
Education
Pursuing or holding a degree or diploma in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, occupational medicine, or equivalent professional qualification.
