Hermès is recruiting a Health and Safety Officer for its Pierre-Bénite site, supporting the opening of a new leather goods facility in January 2027. The role contributes to HSE policy definition and leads its operational deployment, workplace health and ergonomics initiatives, regulatory compliance and safety projects across the hub. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the HSE policy at the site and contribute to its definition.
- Lead the site’s health and ergonomics initiatives; facilitate and coordinate ergonomics representatives and first-aid responders (SST).
- Raise employee awareness of risks and provide ongoing training.
- Report, investigate and monitor workplace accidents; oversee post-incident corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct health and safety inductions for new employees and employees returning after long-term absence.
- Manage waste monitoring and environmental compliance.
- Implement and uphold group safety standards across the site and the wider hub.
- Manage and keep the DUER occupational risk assessment documents up to date.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the Labour Code and applicable standards.
- Participate in CSSCT meetings in line with strategic priorities.
- Deploy and coordinate health and safety projects across the hub.
- Maintain traceability and documentation of HSE actions.
- Lead operational implementation of HSE standards at the site and oversee safety projects across the hub.
Qualifications
- Hold a Master’s-level (Bac+5) qualification in HSE and have initial hands-on production experience, or have significant HSE experience.
- Demonstrate rigour, commitment, analytical ability and strong synthesis skills.
- Work autonomously and take initiative.
- Show a strong interest in occupational health issues.
- Be able to lead a group and work with different departments.
