Hermès Sellier in Pantin seeks a Head of Internal Production Quality (Arts & Crafts) — managerial role overseeing supplier and production quality.
Role & Responsibilities
- Directly manage a team of four Quality Managers and develop the internal Quality network across maroquineries and ateliers.
- Define and deploy the Quality strategy for internal production and Arts & Crafts in alignment with the external production Quality pole.
- Oversee qualification of pre-series and validate reproducibility, conformity of milestones and robustness of product developments.
- Lead on‑site and in‑process audits across production sites, support suppliers to achieve target quality levels and run production assurance activities.
- Coordinate quality alert management: lead root‑cause analyses, define and drive corrective action plans, and ensure timely communication of progress.
- Partner with Development (Materials & Products) to characterise risks, specify tests and integrate risk analyses into product industrialisation.
- Collaborate with logistics and after‑sales to define finished product expectations, resolve litigations, and capture network feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Animate the quality community: organise alignment sessions, upskill internal quality referents, and foster subsidiarity and delegation within the network.
- Contribute to strategic committees and project groups with particular involvement in Arts & Crafts initiatives to improve product, process and savoir‑faire.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent with a strong technical background; proven manufacturing pedigree.
- Minimum 10 years' professional experience, ideally within leather goods, footwear, textile/confection or quality management roles.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi‑site quality teams and developing internal quality networks.
- Advanced mastery of quality methodologies and tools (see skills below) and experience training others in their application.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.

Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in quality within leather goods, footwear, textile/confection or related manufacturing environments, including multi‑site production and supplier quality management. Proven track record of leading quality teams and deploying production assurance programmes.
Education
Engineering degree (or equivalent technical degree) with supplementary training in quality management desirable.
