Hermès — Gemstone Procurement Specialist in Pantin, France (fixed-term contract).
Role & Responsibilities
- Place and schedule firm purchase orders for precious and fine jewellery stones based on requirements calculations and atelier production plans.
- Monitor the order book at weekly and monthly cadences for the assigned scope and proactively manage delivery performance.
- Investigate shortages or delays, identify root causes, implement corrective measures and communicate revised lead times to stakeholders.
- Manage ad hoc material requests (additional quantity, replacement, broken stones) and coordinate resolutions with suppliers and internal teams.
- Record and reconcile partner-held stock entries into the company ERP and guarantee reliability of stock and demand data impacting MRP calculations.
- Analyze stock variances during inventory circularizations of workshop deposits and validate corrective/regulation operations with management control.
- Develop and maintain privileged working relationships with external suppliers and cross-functional internal partners (purchasing, planning, quality, development, management control, finished-goods workshops).
- Contribute to service-level projects: formalize existing procedures, document processes and participate in implementation and industrialization of new methods.
- Undertake occasional on-site visits to partners in France to support operational alignment and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent in supply chain, procurement, industrial engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in supply chain, procurement or materials planning; experience within jewellery or luxury manufacturing is an advantage.
- Proven analytical rigor with experience in stock reconciliation and requirements calculation.
- Solution- and process-oriented mindset with an aptitude for industrializing procedures.
- Entrepreneurial, agile and tenacious attitude with strong collaborative and team-working skills.

Experience
At least 1 year of professional experience in supply chain, procurement or materials planning; prior exposure to jewellery or luxury product supply chains is beneficial.
Education
Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent in supply chain, procurement, industrial engineering or related field.
