COMPTOIR NOUVEAU DE LA PARFUMERIE in Lyon seeks a Fragrance Sales Assistant (Apprenticeship) to support Hermès perfume counter sales and clienteling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome clients, provide expert advice and sell Hermès fragrances on the department store counter.
- Support the resident Ambassador in daily operations: merchandising, stock management, events and activation set-up.
- Conduct client interviews to identify needs and recommend appropriate olfactory creations and complementary products.
- Deliver high-quality after‑sales service to build loyalty and turn challenging situations into commercial opportunities.
- Participate in ancillary retail tasks: inventory, unpacking, labeling and maintaining counter cleanliness and presentation.
- Execute marketing and activation guidelines precisely and ensure promotional materials and tools are used according to brief.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly sales performance analysis and report on results.
- Monitor competitor launches, news and performance to inform commercial activity.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a specialised school, business school, IAE or university programme suitable for an apprenticeship.
- Passion for perfumery and luxury beauty; energy and strong team spirit.
- Preferably has a prior retail or perfume/beauty experience, though beginners are accepted.
- Excellent customer‑service orientation, active listening and polished personal presentation.
- Autonomous, responsible and committed; able to manage assigned tasks proactively.
- Fluent in French and proficient in English to interact with international clientele.

Education
Enrollment in a vocational or higher-education programme (specialised school, business school, IAE or university) appropriate for an apprenticeship.
